Essay Writing

Writing an essay can be essay task if we know how to write the well organized paragraph. Because an essay is the combination of at least 3 paragraphs. Moreover, we can develop a paragraph in to an essay just by using the comprising elements of a paragraph in a larger scale in the structure of an essay.

The Introductory Paragraph:

This is the first paragraph of essay which usually begins with a general background by using the general sense of keywords. Don't forget that the introductory paragraph is the first thing that reader sees. Obviously, this paragraph should inform the reader of the topic being discussed. A good introductory paragraph should indicate whether the essay is going to discuss causes, effects, reasons or examples; whether the essay is going to classify, describe, narrate, or explain a process. Then we should narrow it down. Finally we should come up with the thesis statement which is the most important in our essay. It is as important for an essay as the topic sentence for a paragraph. Just the topic sentence is used at the beginning of the paragraph and controls its main idea. But the thesis statement is used at the end of the paragraph and controls the main idea of the following paragraphs. So our thesis statement determines the main idea of the whole essay. Ideally an introductory paragraph should be inviting; that is, it should be interesting enough to make the reader want to continue reading.

When writing the thesis statement we should pay attention to the following points:

• Our thesis statement should be a complete sentence.
• It should be statement not acquisition
• It should not express a general fact or truth. Because it dose not need verification.
• It should introduce just one main idea.
• Finally thesis statement should express our personal attitude or opinion towards the issue we are given.

This paragraph may vary in lenght from one essay to another. It depends on how long we are going to develop our essay.
